San Juan, Puerto Rico Data Sheets
First, I wanna say thanks to forum member Pete for looking out for me when I was in PR. This data sheet wouldn’t be complete without mentioning him. PR is a place that I have had an interest in since a young age. I had always enjoyed what I knew of the food, music and culture from the PR communities on the East Coast. I was also fairly sure that the weather and beaches had to be nicer, on average, than the places of my upbringing on the East Coast. Furthermore, I enjoy boxing and the island is known to have some of the best training and fighters in the world. Until lately, I decided to put off any type of trip to PR until later because Colombia and Peru presented better opportunities to meet my previous goal of becoming more proficient in Spanish in the shortest time possible. I knew that PR is not a great place to study Spanish, because there is a lot of Spanglish and slang spoken there. Now I do speak Spanish at a level that I am cool with, and since I had the month of January free from “brick and mortar” obligations, I decided it would be an optimal choice, especially over freezing my ass off in my NYC base of operations. I rented out a furnished apartment in a one of the most walkable sections of San Juan. I put myself close enough to the beach and nightlife, but far enough away from other tourists to get an idea of how the city really moves. Adding to my experience of the city and its people was the fact that I trained at a boxing gym in a municipality on the peripheral of the San Juan metro area, while living in the center. This let me experience a few very different areas of the metro area on a daily basis. I also got the opportunity to travel around the east side and interior of PR a bit, and it was magnificent enough that I am sure to come back here for another trip just to see more of it. Everything that I have written here is from my experience; I mostly leave the speculation out of it, in favor of actionable intelligence, developed by I have seen with my own eyes. If write about a hotel, and I did not stay there, then I at least chilled in the bar or casino. Before You Think About Going The beaches and nature are top notch. The boxing gyms are killer. The people, music and party vibe are all easy to enjoy. These alone are all excellent reasons to come to PR, and they were plenty for me, before I got on the airplane in NYC. As far as the girls go: It’s not Colombia, but there are plenty of pretty and friendly girls. However, if you are a foreign man, with no local connections, looking mostly to come for a short period of time to hook up with Puerto Rican girls, you must ask yourself two questions before you go: The first is “Do I speak Spanish?” If the answer is “Yes”, go to the next question. If you do not speak Spanish, the deck will be stacked hard against you here. They see a million boring, drunk, cruise ship type tourists come and go every day that don’t speak Spanish and dance like complete retards when Salsa comes on. PR chicks will automatically lump you in with them until you prove otherwise. The second is “Are you operating at a high level of game, yes or no?” When I say game, I mean the whole package, in the conventional sense. I mean looks, style, money, worldly experience, conversational technique and confidence. If you are not playing strong, you are going to have a hard time with the chicks here. If you have at least 4 of these things, I’m still going to be honest and tell you it’s not easy. There are places in the world where the fat, ugly, broke slob in flip flops gets to walk around with a reasonably hot chick. Puerto Rico is not that place. Entry Although Puerto Rico is a distinct nation with its own culture, it is an American Territory; therefore American citizens do not need a passport to come here. Non-American citizens will need to follow all of the same rules and visa requirements that they would have to follow to go to any other part of the US. Language PR is a Spanish speaking island and some important things are worth noting. English is widely spoken here, but DO NOT expect it. If you are a native English speaker, but you know Spanish, you can think of the English speaking Puerto Ricans that you will frequently run into as a treat that makes your life a little easier. If you show them that you speak some Spanish, they will respect you for it, probably more so than in any other Latin country I have been to. People don’t expect you to speak or understand Spanish, so if they don’t speak English, they may try to avoid talking to you. When you do speak Spanish, they are often very happy about it and open up quickly. Breakdown of Urban Social Geography of San Juan Metro Area Touristy Areas Old San Juan- This is the breath taking colonial center of the city, a place that is packed with people from cruise ships, but is also packed with party people from all over the metro area and the rest of island on the weekends. A good portion of these people will be people from the barrios (bad neighborhoods and public housing). A good portion of those chicks are hot and friendly toward anybody who breaks the monotony of the guys they are used to. The thing you need to do to make moves with these girls is differentiate yourself from the majority of the non-dancing, no game having, non-passport holding, non-Spanish speaking, shorts and flip-flops wearing tourists that she is used to seeing around there. If you can do that, it will cause a short circuit in her brain. Condado, Isla Verde- These areas are in slightly different locations, but are pretty much the same. They have lots of hotels, some nightlife, lots of rich Puerto Rican people and Puerto Ricans trying to act rich, tourists, and nice beaches. They are also extremely Americanized, and English is most widely spoken in these places. Wealthy Local Residential Areas: Ocean Park- This place lies between Condado and Isla Verde. It is partially a gated beachside community of single homes and mansions. It is also my favorite beach in San Juan, both because of the beach itself, and the ease to meet hot local chicks. Guaynabo- I only passed through here, but I met a lot of people in other parts of the city who are from here. It is basically the rich suburb of San Juan. Not many Americans live here, or ever see this place, yet a good portion of the signs are in English. Many of the local people in the Metro area hate on this municipality, and everybody who comes from it. Santurce: Santurce- This place gets its own mention, because it is so different from the other places I mention here. Think of it as the modern-day Brooklyn of modern-day San Juan: There is a lot of cultural and nightlife capital in this neighborhood, a good feel for what Puerto Rico is really like, lots of cool old people and artsy people hanging around, but there are also large areas where you do not want to be walking around alone at night if you don’t need to. If you go to Santurce, make sure you have an idea of where you are going before you go wandering around. Hato Rey, Rio Piedras, Catano, Bayamon and the rest of the island: First let me say that no matter where I went, I encountered friendly and amazing people in Puerto Rico. The vast majority of my experiences with regular Puerto Ricans have been positive. Even in my boxing gym, which is located in one of the roughest parts of the metro area (Bayamon), the guys I trained with were all complete gentlemen and seemed very pleased that a White-American cat would come to train at their gym. Just about every section of San Juan, and municipality in PR, has its housing projects and poor neighborhoods; the geography of PR is dominated by them. These areas have a high murder rate. People do get killed on the regular. It’s just a fact of life here. Make all of your moves while aware of that fact, and you should be okay. If any of the venues I mention are in an area that is likely to be a ghetto, or have a rougher clientele, I will mention it. Transportation Public transportation in San Juan is not the greatest. The metro area, and the rest of the island, have been built on car culture to a degree that makes it a serious disadvantage to not have a personal vehicle or a limo on your payroll. Taxis: The only taxis in the city are primarily used by tourists, not locals, and they cost $15 and more a ride just to go from one neighborhood to another. There are not many taxis that just ride around in the streets looking to pick people up. It is best to just call Metro Taxi at 787-725-2870. Tell them where you are, and where you want to go, and they will send a car. Tren Urbano: San Juan does have a very clean, safe and efficient train line that runs through a large portion of the Metro area. There are security guards and cool customer service people in every single station. These customer service people will have no problem to give you directions to where ever you want to go by foot from the station, as long as you speak Spanish. It is definitely a switch up for anybody who is used to NYC’s public transport and the rude or non-existent service there. The problem with the train system is that it was erected well after city had already been constructed and urban sprawl had taken hold. With this in mind, you can still use it to get to many parts of the city, if you are willing to walk a little distance from the train station in the area that you want to get to. Car rental: This is, hands down, the best way to see the Island. I rented a car from Hertz at the Marriott for a few days to go explore, and it was more than worth every dime. There are numerous Hertz car rental stations throughout the city. Lodging Hotels: In Condado, you can stay in the Marriot or la Concha on Ashford Drive. These both have hotel bars and casinos with cute chicks hanging around downstairs. They are also located on the beach. In Isla Verde, you can stay at el San Juan, which also has a Casino and club called “Brava”, which I will talk about in a moment. This is also located of the beach. Hostel: For people looking for something cheaper and more social, I recommend the San Juan International Hostel, located in Santurce. This hostel is several blocks from the beach, but within walking distance. It located in the middle of a working-class neighborhood that is adjacent to Condado, so you will not see any other tourists around, but you will be able to walk to everything that you could do in Condado, plus take advantage of some things in the neighborhood itself. Nightlife Here I will break down which places I have experienced to be the best to meet chicks on each night of the week (with one exception, which I will note). This list is by no means exhaustive; I could not be in every place on every day of the month. Furthermore, this list does not include every place I have been. I have left some places out, for various reasons. What I can say about this list is that if I have it written here, it was at its best on the night that I have it listed on. If you are coming to the city with plans to have a good time, this list will give you a reliable battle plan to start from. To be continued…

Buenos Aires Data Sheet
So I’ve been living in Buenos Aires for 3 years now, figured I’d share what I know with the forum. I’ve only had a handful of notches. I’m 25 with a small bankroll. Before going out make sure to look up all the nearby love hotels so you know where to go if you hook a girl in any of your locations. This website can help http://www.alberguesonline.com.ar/result…rm=Palermo If you don’t know you can hail a cab and ask to go to the nearest “telo” Something like “Conoces un telo por aca?” (Do you know of a love hotel around here?) I have an apartment so I don’t do this but its very normal and a lot of girls like it. By the way lots of young guys don’t dress very well so it’s a good way to stand out. Nightlife Kika Tuesday This place gets packed Tuesday through Saturday but Tuesday is the night when all the foreigners go. You see a nice sprinkle of Latin America and Europe with the occasional Australian or South African. At least half the crowd will be Argy so you’ll be able to take your shot at getting with a local as well. Theres two rooms, the electronic music room in the back and the pop/latin music room. The back room is good for the long bar area where people stand around and the latin room obviously to dance with a girl. Buenos Aires pub crawl (everyday) You meet up somewhere at 10 have free beers and pizza for an hour. After you go to three bars and get a shot at each. You finish at a club. All for like 20USD. This was really fun, you have like 75% tourists/expats with 25% locals that want to meet tourists. Sometimes it can be a cockfest, but even with a bad ratio the bars you go to and the club afterwards have plenty of girls to talk to. The Alamo (everyday… I’ve never been on a Monday but I heard its open) Known as a tourist and expat bar, this place has a nice ratio of like 50% foreigners and 50% locals. The beer is cheap and the crowd is friendly. Million When the Alamo gets really packed if you are able to hook a girl you can take her to this really cool, kind of hipster bar that is sort of loungy and has really good outdoor area in the back. http://www.milion.com.ar/milion/ Tell her the place is too loud or whatever and that you know this really great place for both of you to hang out. Crobar Saturdays I would definitely try to find a hookup for Crobar so you don’t have to wait a massive line and get in for free. Its pretty easy if you ask around your hostel, online, the pub crawl wherever. The music is pretty good with a nice mix of everything and the talent is top notch. Never got close to getting laid but I have danced and spoken with some of the hottest girls in there. La Viruta and La Catedral I really like tango, started doing it as soon as I got here and now I’m pretty good. Great activity for rolling solo since its super easy to meet people in the classes and there are very little bitch shields in the tango environment. You can also learn Rock and Salsa in la Viruta. You’ll meet all sorts of girls from everywhere. In La Catedral I saw couch surfers both times I went and there’s a whole loungy area away from the dance floor where you can game in peace. Godoy Cruz (Friday and Saturday) Place has an older crowd, like 28-38. Still theres a lot of area where people are standing around and I’ve had good experiences with the friendliness of the people. Theres 3 bar areas, a couple lounge areas, and a couple dance floors. Classy girls. Terrazas del Este (Wednesday) After office Mega club. Huge outside area, several dance floors, tons of people. Drinks are half off from 8-10. You have to go in dress shoes and a dress shirt and preferably not jeans but I think they let a lot of people slide with them. Place gets packed by 9:30 and stays that way till 2 or 3. Its so weird to see a club in Buenos Aires packed at 10, all the normal ones aren’t even open. There’s only a few After Office clubs sprinkled throughout the city and I like them, its kind of like one long happy hour with dancing and people seem more laid back and less bitch shieldy since its mostly working people that want to unwind a bit. I think it has a lot of girls that won’t go out too often on a Friday or Saturday since maybe they don’t like having to go to a club at 2 and leave at 6. Different but cool crowd. No results from it though. If you show up somewhat early like 8:30 and there’s not many people I’m pretty sure you can get in with no cover by saying you are on the Gus Rey list. That is what I did with a friend. All right these are the places I go run night game and have a good time. For day game dates I usually take girls to these 4 places. Van Konin (Palermo) One of my favorite places is Van Konin http://www.vankoning.com/ Its in Cañitas, a little area that has tons of little bars and restaurants all around 4 blocks. All the girls love it and its somewhat dark with candles on all the tables. Music is nice. Only a couple spots in the place where you can sit side by side to get the kino rolling and make it easy to go for the kiss but there’s this one spot that is especially good. Its in the second room just as you enter it in the left corner. Nice little corner seating with a table in front. There’s tons of little cool bars nearby on that main street called Baez, just walk by and pick what you like. Really fun to bar hop with a chick in that area. Bar Thames 878 (Palermo) This place is super classy and cool. Really expensive… well as far as Argentine standards. A drink will be 10 bucks instead of the usual 5. Man I just realized how cheap I’m getting just from getting used to Argentine prices. There’s a room in the back where you can smoke and theres usually people standing around so if though I don’t recommend go game in if you happen to with a friend there for a drink or if you end up not liking your date you can go back there and spit some on some classy Argentine hotties. La Viruta is not too far and you can take your date to watch some tango as a second venue. Million (Recoleta) This place is awesome for a first date, girl will be impressed. Its not a very obvious place, from the outside you can’t even tell it’s a bar/lounge place, just looks like a really old but cool house. I recommend the drink with Maracuya (passion fruit), girl will love it and she’ll get tipsy as fuck. After if you want to keep the night going you can go to the Alamo which is a few blocks away and go ahead and get hammered with your date there. Sugar Palermo Its in a central area, has good music and ambiance, pretty dark inside, lots of places to sit down side by side. Great place to escalate. Might want to go to one of the many bars nearby for that first drink and go here to close the deal. If you’re going out with a girl that lives outside the capital to the south its going to be hard but maybe you can get her out to a bar in San Telmo or even maybe Million and Alamo in Recoleta but I haven’t pulled it off. However to the north of the capital lie the upper middle class and rich suburbs especial San Isidro and Martinez. You’ll find a great bar to go in Martinez on Santafe (Santafe in province to the north, not the Santafe that’s in the Capital) a few blocks north of the street Alvear which is in the heart of Martinez. I don’t recall the name. By the way when people say province (provincia) they just mean the outlying suburbs that sorround the city, not some far away land. For Day game you can go to the Bulnes shopping mall right by the Bulnes subway station. Extremely hot girls and you have coffee houses nearby as well. Make heavy use of the great public transport, trains, buses, subways… ask for directions or just go elderly about whatever. Plaza Serrano is really good on weekends for day game, tons of people about and you have people setting up stands all around the plaza selling cool stuff so lots of opportunities to open girls. Lots of cool boutique shops in the area with hot girls window shopping. Oh and if you want to day game the hottest girls ever go nearby the Puerto Madero Catholic University of Argentina. UCA. Don’t let the name fool you, these aren’t conservative chicks. But they have a bit of wealth since the school is expensive and they are really beautiful. Go around 12-3 where a lot of them are out and about the area looking to have lunch. I can’t really think of anything else…. hopefully this helps someone. I’ll try and answer any questions.

Ibague, Tolima data sheet
Even though my name says otherwise, Ibague is a great place to meet women and travel to. My knowledge of this small town in Tolima is not very deep, but i did spend over 4 months roaming the streets of this city so i have atained a some knowledge. The women ; Imo Ibague is a great place to meet freaky women, especially if you like younger girls from the ages of 16-20. For some reason young girls in Ibague love to go after older guys. I say this because I had numerous friends that were about 20-23 years old and had girlfriends that were only about 15-17 years old. Even my uncle said that one day he was gocery shopping and some 15 year old girl was all over him, asking to go back to his place (and the dude is like 50). A couple tips for spotting out young girls is to look at what shes wearing. If shes wearing all white scrubs shes probably studying to be a doctors assistant or something which means shes somewhere between 17-19 (for some reason there are a lot of these girls in Ibague). However if she has on a uniform with green pants, beware she is most likey in highschool so shes about 13-15 years old and that is just below the age of consent in COL so stay away. If you guys want to know a good spot to meet college girls go to the Universidad de Ibague. Towards the back of the campus there are a shit load of small bars and stores that are usually crawling with chicks in between classes and after school. Also there are hardly any gringos in Ibague, my entire stay I only saw one white guy, so if youre a whitey gaming chicks in Ibague should way easier. The destinations ; Ibague might not be a big city by todays standards but there are a good amount hot spots/ travel destinations. 13th street is like the downtown area. There are a few restaurants, bars and shopping centers. In the mornings there are a lot of working class girls, imo the easiest way to open is to ask directions to the nearest whatever. If youre a weed smoker 13th street is also a good place to cop bud, the easiest place to get it is in front of the library (La Biblioteca Dario Echandia ). There are always guys selling wrist bands, rings and little figuriens, just ask a couple of them for some bud and theyll get it for you. If youre white they will try to charge you extra, do not pay over 2500 pesos a gram, also if you are planning to smoke during your trip make sure to bring your own smoking utensiles, that kind of shit can get real pricey in ibague. Another destination is la parque de musica, its a few blocks from 13th. La pargue de musica is a cool place to skate board, smoke weed or talk shit with local kids. Occasionaly there are concerts there, i never went, but I heard they are fun to go to. As far as restaurants go, there are lots of them spread out through the city, none of which I could recomend over the next. Except this one place that sells tacos/burritos, its located in La Pola district across the street from a grocery store, once again I cant give detailed infomation on where this place is, but if you ask a local theyll help you out. If you need to know where to find a nice hotel, go to the Hotel Internacional Casa Morales. Its a nice place with rooms at 100 dollars a night. Its right on 13th street. Most of the bars and night clubs are located on 13th street. The only night club I know of that is not near 13th is called Chilangos. Its a cool place to dance, drink an eat bar food. The only thing I dont like about Chilangos is how loud the music is, you cant hear your self think most of the time, also the club is very small, the compacity is like 100 people. Fri,Sat and Sun the place is packed, and the ratio of girls and guys is usually good. Fyi this is the kind of place where have to dance, if you cant dance youll have a shitty time and you proabaly wont go home with a girl. A cool mall to go to is multicentro ibague. Theres a movie theater, maybe 100 stores and an Exito (Wal-mart of COL). Thats about all I have to say about ibague. if you got any questions hmu.

The mile high club
New addition wants his membership card! Details coming… just had to gloat a bit for now. Just rolled into the the Land of (vertical) smiles. I was checking in at the Club lounge (gold member) at the local Marriott just signing papers and this totally busted 50 yo+ dude walks past the disk and out of the lounge. In tow he has one of the hottest thai piece of ass I ever saw, this super tight kitten in a dress that ended slightly south of her navel. I wanted to get up and shake the mans hand… more later, yeah a bit drunk now. Gotta get out into the night!

how do you guys get ’started’ in a new country?
Ok, so I have lots of cash now: $100k set aside just for travelling. (lots left for investing, etc.)… and will likely take off for ‘extended travel vacation’ by December of this year. But my question now, is “how are you guys doing this?” - getting started in a new country that is — do you just ‘wing it’? Book a flight & get a hotel room when you get there - to give you opportunity to scope out a place to ‘live’ for a few weeks after? Or do you get things all ‘pre-planned’ before taking off? I’m already doing some ‘on-line gaming’ with the ladies in destination #1… my profile is letting them in on the fact I’ll be ‘moving to the country soon’. A part of me would love to just ‘wing-it’ as an experiment - show up with pretty much my necessities -but then, I also don’t want to waste time & money - or end up sleeping on the street for a couple nights. Should I check with the travel agencies to book a one-way travel holiday to ease into things? Any advice would be appreciated!
