Disability Benefits

On 18 October 2007, the European Court of Justice ruled that the UK goverment (amongst others!) had illegally stopped payments of certain disability benefits when their citizens moved to another EEA state (or Switzerland). These benefits included disability living allowance, carers and attendance allowance. As such anyone leaving the UK today and in receipt of these benefits is able to export them to their new abode. BUT (and it’s a big but!) the government is still trying to get out of reinstating these benefits to those expats who are already abroad. As such, I have set up and e-petition on the No 10 Downing St website demanding that the payments are reinstated to those who are eligible. After all, those people who left the UK with disabilities were not miracurously cured the moment they stepped on the ferry, plane or train! The link to the petition is: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/ECJ-DLA/ for anyone who wants to support this cause. Many thanks Tina

HELP! lost green card, got married, moved & preggers

Hello all, I came across this wonderful site and although i found some great answers i need to know which direction i should go. The facts… 1st, in August while traveling from the US to the UK with my green card and UK passport, i lost my green card. After much hassle at Gatwick they let me get on the plane and come home. At the Cincinnati airport immigration they stamped my passport saying that i was in violation for not having my green card and wouldn’t be allowed to travel until i got a replacement. 2nd, in March of 06 I got married to a US citizen and moved house and I never updated my green card or UK passport. 3rd, i found out i was pregnant while in the UK, which makes me now what to apply for dual citizenship. ok here’s my questions, Do i need to fill out an I-90 replacement first before i can do the N-400 citizenship thing? I know i probably won’t be able to file for citizenship from my husband, but since i’ve lived here since 91 as a Permanant Resident i should be able to be approved, right? What should i do when the baby’s born? To register or not register that is the question. should i put the baby on my UK passport or (if i’m approved) the US one. tyia, ss to have loaded you down with lots of questions!

BMC38-Icons of Horror Collection – Sam Katzman

This show is going to be a little bit different than most of the shows. Our friends over at Boulevard Movies said they would donate a DVD once a month. And I thought I would talk about the DVD and give a quick review and not go too much in depth like I usually like

Where has Florida Days Gone?

Hi All - I am an old member of Florida Days forum, but have not visited for couple of years. I can’t find them online at all. Anyone know where they are, their web address, do they still exist? They used to be on X-Sorbit. Any help locating would be appreciated. Thx.
